DSTUDIO's reforestation program

DLAB, the research and development space of DSTUDIO, presents its latest initiative carried out in collaboration with the Reforesta Association.

In support of biodiversity conservation in Spanish forests, the DSTUDIO team participated in reforestation work at Sierra de Madrid during the past winter. Together with the Reforesta Association, 30 trees were planted in a depressed area of the Sierra de Madrid, one for each client who hired their landscaping services during the last year at the studio.

This is an ecological initiative but also a token of appreciation to all those clients who have trusted DSTUDIO to design their outdoor spaces. Each planted tree has a sign associated with the name of each client so they can identify it. Each individual, whether a private or corporate client, was also given a card with the details of their tree so they can visit it. The card displays the name of the tree, the species, the planting date, and the exact coordinates of the planting location. The idea is that, while the Reforesta Association will carry out exhaustive monitoring of the planted species, clients can also help conserve these forests by performing small waterings during the hottest seasons, thus promoting ecological awareness among the younger members of the family who will undoubtedly be the most dedicated to visiting their small trees.
